High-resolution Earth-observation satellite platform associated with Airbus's Vision-1 commercial imagery offering.
The Vision-1 Platform is the SSTL-300-S1 satellite bus designed and manufactured by Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) for the Vision-1 mission.[1][2] The satellite carries a high-resolution optical imager capable of sub-metre panchromatic and multi-spectral imagery. Airbus Defence and Space distributes the imagery commercially under the Vision-1 brand; SSTL is the spacecraft manufacturer.[3]
The platform flies a sun-synchronous orbit at approximately 580-590 km altitude.[2] Mass for the S1-4 unit is cited as 440 kg by SSTL and eoPortal.[1][2] Gunter's Space Page lists 450 kg for earlier S1 1-3 units of the same platform family.[4] Electrical power figures for the platform have not been published in open sources as of the research date.
