Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) is a UK satellite manufacturer headquartered in Guildford, Surrey, incorporated on 23 May 1985 (Companies House no. 01916260).[1] The company originated as a University of Surrey spin-off and has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Airbus Defence and Space since 2009.[2]
SSTL's satellite platform portfolio spans cubesat to medium-class: SSTL-CUBE, SSTL-MICRO, and SSTL-MINI.[3] SSTL has built and delivered approximately 70 spacecraft for more than 22 countries.[3][4] Andrew Cawthorne was appointed Managing Director in 2025.[5]
