Commercial high-resolution CO2 sensor flown on GHGSat-C10 Vanguard for industrial carbon dioxide source monitoring.

Sensor

The GHGSat Vanguard CO2 sensor is a commercial orbital imaging spectrometer for high-resolution carbon-dioxide measurement over industrial sites.[1][2] It flew on GHGSat-C10 Vanguard, launched in November 2023, and is aimed at facility-scale CO2 source monitoring rather than broad regional column mapping.[2] Its mission objective is high-resolution measurement of carbon dioxide emissions from industrial sites, with an in-orbit role focused on commercial CO2 monitoring.[2][1] Spatial resolution is 25 m for CO2 leak detection by spectrometry.[3] That footprint makes the instrument relevant for industrial emissions attribution, asset-level monitoring, and follow-up analysis where a point source must be separated from its surrounding scene.[1][2] Buyer evaluation should focus on the disclosed target gas, facility-scale observing role, spatial resolution, and mission objective.
