Panchromatic and multispectral imager flown on CBERS-4.
CBERS-4 Panchromatic and Multispectral Imager is the PAN/PANMUX passive optical payload flown on CBERS-4, separate from the CBERS-4A WPM camera.[1] It combines a B01 panchromatic band from 510 to 850 nm at 5 m spatial resolution with B02 to B04 green, red, and near-infrared multispectral bands at 10 m spatial resolution.[1] The instrument has a 60 km swath and a +/-32 degree side-looking mirror.[1]
The PAN swath does not cover the full equator in one 26-day orbital cycle, so regular PAN temporal coverage requires two cycles, about 52 days.[1] PAN on CBERS-4 is operational and associated with land albedo/reflectance, vegetation, and multi-purpose land imagery measurements.[2] Use of PANMUX on CBERS-4 is demonstrated for vegetation index mapping and optical time-series change detection.[1][2]
