Wide-field multispectral imager flown on CBERS-4.
CBERS-4 Wide Field Imager 2 is a passive optical wide-field multispectral camera flown on CBERS-4 for broad land-resource imaging.[1] It records four blue, green, red, and near-infrared bands spanning 450 to 890 nm at 64 m native ground sampling distance across an 866 km swath.[1] The camera has no side-looking mirror, a wide field of view of +/-28.63 degrees, and a 50 Mbit/s gross data rate.[1]
CBERS-4 WFI imagery has 5-day temporal resolution.[2] The instrument is a four-band blue-to-NIR optical payload with 64 m nadir resolution and rapid revisit capacity.[3] Use of WFI on CBERS-4 is demonstrated for vegetation index mapping and optical time-series change detection.[1][4]
