Wide Field Imager camera flown on CBERS-4A.
CBERS-4A Wide Field Imager is a passive optical wide-field camera flown on CBERS-4A, distinct from the CBERS-4 WFI-2 payload.[1] It records four blue, green, red, and near-infrared bands spanning 450 to 890 nm at 55 m native ground sampling distance across a 684 km swath.[1] CBERS-4A uses the same WFI camera as CBERS-3/4, with the 55 m nadir resolution resulting from CBERS-4A's lower orbit altitude.[1]
CBERS-4A WFI imagery has 5-day temporal resolution and uses the same four blue/green/red/NIR bands for the CBERS-4A WFI data stream.[2] The camera has no side-looking mirror and an approximately 51 Mbit/s gross data rate.[1] Use of WFI on CBERS-4A is demonstrated for vegetation index mapping and optical time-series change detection.[1][3]
