Jilin-1 is a commercial high-resolution optical Earth-observation constellation operated by Chang Guang Satellite Technology (CGSTL).[1] Because the constellation comprises a large number of individual satellites, it is modelled as a single programme with a 2019-06-05 reference launch date.[2][3] Individual units fly in sun-synchronous orbit at approximately 528 km altitude with a 10:30 ascending equator-crossing time.[2]

The primary payload is the Jilin Imager, a high-resolution optical pushbroom sensor.[4] CGSTL product pages describe examples such as the GF03A variant achieving sub-metre panchromatic resolution.[1] The constellation supports timeseries change detection and optical transient detection workflows. Application domains include land cover change monitoring, disaster damage assessment, wildfire detection, and urban change mapping. Tasking is commercially available through CGSTL. Planned operations extend through the end of 2030.[3]
