NovaSAR-1 is a radar Earth-observation mission launched on 2018-09-16 into a sun-synchronous orbit of about 588 km.[1] The spacecraft carries the NovaSAR SAR payload and an AIS receiver on the SSTL-300 platform.[2] Its radar imaging is associated with a 750 km swath and tasking support for maritime surveillance, flood monitoring, disaster response, forestry, and crop assessment.[3] Launch was performed on PSLV-C42.[4]
