High-resolution passive optical imager flown on the Airbus Pléiades 1A and 1B satellites, supporting 50 cm imagery products over a 20 km swath.
Pléiades HiRI is an Airbus Defence and Space high-resolution passive optical imager flown on Pléiades 1A and Pléiades 1B.[1]
It covers 430 to 940 nm across five bands: panchromatic 470 to 830 nm, blue 430 to 550 nm, green 500 to 620 nm, red 590 to 710 nm, and near infrared 740 to 940 nm.[1]
Native acquisition is 0.7 m panchromatic and 2.8 m multispectral, while distributed Airbus and DINAMIS imagery products are 0.5 m panchromatic and 2.0 m multispectral.[1][2]
Compositional position
- Vegetation index mappingvia Pleiades-1A
HiRI provides red and NIR multispectral bands suitable for band-ratio vegetation indices; Pleiades imagery is operationally distributed.
- Optical time-series change detection
Tasked high-resolution optical observations can contribute to optical time-series change detection where repeat acquisitions are available.
