Airbus very-high-resolution Pléiades Neo passive optical imager for 30 cm panchromatic and 1.2 m multispectral imagery.
Pléiades Neo Imager is a passive optical pushbroom imager manufactured by Airbus Defence and Space for the Airbus-owned Pléiades Neo constellation.[1][2]
It covers 400 to 880 nm across seven bands: panchromatic 450 to 800 nm, deep blue 400 to 450 nm, blue 450 to 520 nm, green 530 to 590 nm, red 620 to 690 nm, red edge 700 to 750 nm, and near infrared 770 to 880 nm.[1]
The imager supports 0.3 m panchromatic and 1.2 m multispectral ground sampling distance over a 14 km swath with 12-bit dynamic range.[1]
Airbus and Copernicus materials identify Pléiades Neo as a commercial very high resolution optical imagery service.[2][3]
Compositional position
None on record.
- Optical time-series change detection
Pléiades Neo offers 30 cm optical tasking and daily revisit for site monitoring and change detection.
- Vegetation index mapping
The imager has red, red-edge and near-infrared channels suitable for vegetation-index mapping.
- Supervised tree-ensemble classification
Visible/NIR high-resolution imagery can feed supervised tree-ensemble classification workflows.
