Airbus-built NAOMI passive optical imager used by the SPOT 6 and SPOT 7 commercial Earth-observation satellites for 1.5 m panchromatic and 6 m multispectral products.
SPOT 6/7 NAOMI is the Airbus and Astrium heritage New AstroSat Optical Modular Instrument used on SPOT 6 and SPOT 7 for simultaneous panchromatic and multispectral optical acquisition.[1]
The instrument covers 450 to 890 nm across five bands: panchromatic 450 to 745 nm, blue 450 to 520 nm, green 530 to 590 nm, red 625 to 695 nm, and near infrared 760 to 890 nm.[1]
At nadir its acquisition ground sampling distance is 2.2 m panchromatic and 8.8 m multispectral, while distributed commercial products are 1.5 m panchromatic and 6 m multispectral.[1][2]
NAOMI provides a 60 km swath and 12-bit dynamic range.[1][2]
