The National Space Science Center (NSSC) is a research institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, originally established as the Center for Space Science and Applied Research (CSSAR) and renamed to NSSC in 2015.[1][2] The institute developed the Microwave Humidity Sounder (MWHS) and Microwave Temperature Sounder (MWTS) instruments carried aboard the FY-3 series of Chinese polar-orbiting meteorological satellites.[2][3]
