Orbital Eye is a Dutch commercial Earth observation analytics company providing satellite-powered infrastructure monitoring. Its COSMIC-EYE services monitor pipelines, power grids, critical sites and remote regions for ground disturbance, excavations, machinery and other activity of interest, including under cloud, darkness and adverse weather conditions.[1]
Orbital Eye BV is based in Delft, Netherlands, with COSMIC-EYE used as an alias and service brand.[2][1] Its product portfolio includes COSMIC-EYE Infrastructure Monitoring, COSMIC-EYE Area Monitoring and Class Location Monitoring for pipeline risk assessment.[1] Cases include BHE GT&S pipeline safety work in the United States, Gasunie Deutschland pipeline monitoring in Germany and National Energy monitoring optimisation in Trinidad and Tobago.[1] Orbital Eye was incubated at ESA BIC Noordwijk from 2012 to 2013 as a downstream Earth observation company and is part of the ESA Business Applications network.[3][2]
