Swiss developer of imaging-spectroscopy and remote-sensing preprocessing software (ATCOR atmospheric correction, PARGE geometric correction), based in Wil SG.
ReSe Applications LLC develops and distributes remote sensing software for imaging spectroscopy preprocessing. The company is based in Wil SG, Switzerland. [1] Its predecessor business was registered in 2000. [2] ReSe Applications GmbH was registered in 2017, with Daniel Schlaepfer as managing director. [3] According to the company, the business originated as a spin-off from the University of Zurich's Remote Sensing Laboratories. [4]
Its software covers geometric and atmospheric correction of airborne, satellite and drone imagery. PARGE provides geocoding and image rectification. [5] [6] ATCOR-A, formerly ATCOR-4, [7] handles atmospheric and topographic correction for airborne imagery; [1] ATCOR-S, formerly ATCOR-3, addresses satellite imagery. [8] The 2023 ATCOR theory document names the German Aerospace Center (DLR) as the ATCOR trademark holder, [1] and ReSe states that it took over the ATCOR modules from DLR in 2026. [8] DROACOR provides atmospheric correction for drone imagery. [9] INTACOR integrates PARGE and DROACOR processing in one workflow. [6]
The portfolio also includes tools for simulation and image analysis. MODO provides a graphical interface to the MODTRAN radiative transfer model for imaging spectrometry simulations. [10] GLIMPS supports viewing and analysis of images and spectral libraries in the format used by the Environment for Visualizing Images (ENVI) software. [11]
